About Dr. Verma
Dr. Verma comes from generations of providers committed to serving the well- being of their patients.
Dr. Verma was born and raised in India running in the halls of her father’s integrative medical practice. Observing his dedication, she found inspiration to venture into the realm of medicine. She devoted 5.5 years to the study of Ayurvedic medicine in India, joining her father’s clinic at the final phase of her education. She worked as a resident OB/GYN medical officer in an Indian hospital, gaining hands-on experience in midwifery and women’s health.
In 2006, Dr. Verma’s path led to the United States, where pursued a Doctor of Naturopathic program from an accredited naturopathic institution, Bastyr University. She went into private practice providing holistic primary care to Seattle and Bellevue.
Dr. Verma brings her wisdom in ancient medicine and expertise in evidence based naturopathic care to our team at Boston Holistic Health Center. She provides naturopathic specialty consult for adults and adolescents, specializing in women’s health and gastrointestinal wellness. Because of her passion for physical medicine she also offers Ayurvedic massage and Shiro Abhyanga.
Education
Dr. Verma attended Sh. Krishna Govt. Ayurvedic College in India where she obtained a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery.
Her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine was obtained from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington – a leading university in the natural health sciences.
Practical Experience
- Dr. Verma was a Resident Medical Officer at J.P. Hospital in India from 2004-2005.
- After completing her naturopathic training in the United States she went into private practice in Washington State from 2013-2016, practicing in both Seattle and Bellevue.
- In 2021-2022 she volunteered at a non-profit, teaching the general public about Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle.
- She resumed private practice in 2022, providing telehealth holistic specialty consults in Massachusetts.
- In 2023 she joined Boston Holistic Health Center where she sees adolescents and adults seeking to optimize wellness and get help with complex chronic multi system diseases.
Dr. Verma takes a patient centered approach to holistic care. Her approach is rooted in an understanding of an individual’s complete medical history, family history, social history, genetic makeup, environmental influences, dietary preferences, and lifestyle choices. She combines diet and lifestyle counseling, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and nutritional supplements with Ayurvedic medicine to holistically assess each individual and tailor wellness plan their needs.
Personal Life
Beyond her professional endeavors, she loves crafting nourishing meals for her family, listening to music, expressing herself through dance, embracing the solace of yoga and embarking on nature exploration alongside her loved ones.
Dr. Verma took a sabbatical from practice in 2016 when she relocated to Massachusetts. She delayed her return to practice when she welcomed her second child. Dr. Verma was grateful for the time with her family and will always cherish those precious moments embracing her new family member.
